On the first day of the tour, you will arrive at Amarkantak from Hyderabad via a picturesque road journey. During the journey, you will pass through various ashrams, religious spots, and scenic destinations. Amarkantak is a renowned Hindu pilgrimage site, known as “Teerthraj” – “the king of pilgrimages,” celebrated for its natural and geographical richness. The city is located at the meeting point of the Satpura and Vindhya Ranges, with the Maikal Hills being a major attraction. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and enjoy a delightful overnight stay, reflecting on the experiences awaiting you.

After a tasty breakfast at your hotel, you will head to the Narmada Kund, one of the holiest sites in India. Here, the Narmada River is worshipped as the mother goddess who nurtures the world. Besides the Narmada, two other rivers, Johila and Son, also originate from Amarkantak. A grand aarti ceremony is organized at the bank of the Kund, providing you with a profound spiritual experience. As you partake in the aarti, you’ll be captivated by the divinity of the place. You can also offer your prayers to Goddess Narmada and absorb the tranquil atmosphere. In the evening, return to your hotel for a relaxing sleep after a lip-smacking dinner.

On this day, you will wake up early and return to the Narmada Kund to engage in various rituals, such as offering a Chunri and flowers to Goddess Narmada. You will also take a dip in the sacred waters of the river to cleanse your sins and lead a pure life. Witness pilgrims praying to the river and seeking forgiveness for their sins. Narmada Kund is considered the spot where the Narmada River emerges from the earth. You can also participate in various cultural and spiritual events organized around the river during the Pushkaralu period. After this spiritual experience, you will bid farewell to Amarkantak and head back to your hometown.
