During the course of the day, you will visit the Eravikulam National Park, Rajamalai National Park, Kundala Lake, Echo Point and Mattupetty Dam. Starting at Mattupetty you enjoy a morning boat ride that puts you in a nice, romantic mood for the rest of the day. A walk through Eravikulam gives you glimpses of the Nilgiri Thar, an endangered species of goat along with a view of orchids, birds and other fauna. Rise early, breakfast on hot Kerala delicacies and board the coach for the 120 km drive to Thekkady and the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Here you check into your hotel, freshen up and set off for Periyar where you go boating on the Lake, one of the best ways to view the innumerable birds, elephants, tigers, leopards and amphibian life. Bite into delicious steaming hot Kerala style breakfast and get ready to travel to Athirapally, one of the most charming waterfalls in Kerala and a popular picnic spot. The falls are about 80 feet high, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. Just sit, watch the water cascade and let love bloom inside you. You might want to splash about in the gurgling waters and walk the trails. Later, you return to Athirapally where you enjoy a lovely night in a picturesque resort.
