Day 1 – Cochin Arrival

Welcome to Kerala! Upon your arrival at the Cochin Airport, our tour representative will greet you and assist you to your pre-booked hotel. Post-check-in, relax in the cozy environment of your hotel room. Later in the afternoon, visit the historic Chinese Fishing Nets of Cochin, a hallmark of Fort Kochi. Explore St. Francis CSI Church, believed to be the oldest church built in India in 1503 and the burial site of Vasco De Gama. Next, visit the Santa Cruz Basilica, one of the most imposing churches in India. In the evening, enjoy a local theatre performance featuring Kalaripayattu, a traditional martial art. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 – Transfer from Cochin to Alleppey

After a delicious breakfast, start your exploration of Cochin with a Tuk-Tuk ride, visiting Dhobi Khana, a traditional laundry station. Wander through the streets of Mattancherry, Jew Town, and the Dutch Palace with its 17th-century mural paintings. In the afternoon, transfer to a houseboat in Alleppey for a backwater cruise. Experience the traditional Kettuvallams, used for carrying rice and spices in ancient times. Enjoy the panoramic views and village life from the houseboat. Join the chef for shopping ingredients for your meal and explore the narrow village lanes. Enjoy a country canoe ride for a closer view of the surroundings. Return to the houseboat for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 – Alleppey to Aranmula

Wake up to the chirping of birds and enjoy a hearty breakfast on the houseboat. Travel to Aranmula, where you will be welcomed and shown to your accommodation. After relaxing, explore the metallurgical works of making Aranmula Kannadi (metal mirrors), believed to bring prosperity and luck. Visit local temples to complete your cultural experience. Enjoy a homely dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – At Aranmula

Post-breakfast, walk around the accommodation premises and explore local spice farms with your host. Experience village life and meet locals. Visit lush green gardens and sip fresh coconut water. If time permits, opt for an authentic Ayurvedic massage. In the evening, witness a Syrian cooking demonstration and learn traditional recipes and cooking methods. Enjoy a delicious dinner and return to your accommodation for the night.

Day 5 – Aranmula to Thekkady

After breakfast, travel to Thekkady through the scenic Nilgiris, passing coffee, rubber, cardamom, and tea plantations. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a variety of exotic animals including Sambar, Elephants, Langur, and Wild Boar. Explore Cumbum Valley, famous for its vineyards, orchards, and vegetable fields. Visit spice plantations and enjoy the aromatic spices. In the evening, stroll through the spice market in Kumily. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
