Once you arrive in Bangalore, you will proceed towards your hotel. A brief sightseeing tour of the city will commence with a visit to Cubbon Park, a lush green park covering 300 acres, ideal for nature lovers and peace seekers. Next, you’ll visit Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, which houses India’s largest collection of tropical plants and features a lake, perfect for family outings. You will then proceed to Bangalore Palace, built in 1878 with intricate architectural design, and the spacious grounds are used for public events. Before returning to your hotel, you will visit the famous and holy ISKCON Temple.
Early in the morning, your 3-hour journey to Shravanabelagola, an important Jain pilgrimage center known for its architectural brilliance, will commence. You will visit the famous Gommateshwara Bahubali, a key attraction. This is also the site where Chandragupta Maurya passed away after becoming a monk. After paying your respects, you will be driven to Hassan, an hour away, which served as the seat of the Hoysala Empire. After checking into your hotel, you will visit Belur, where you will explore the Chennakeshava Temple complex dedicated to Lord Vishnu. From Belur, you will proceed to Halebidu, a half-hour away, which was the Hoysala Empire’s capital during the 12th century. Here, you will visit the Kedareshwara and Hoysaleswara Temples. After this holy temple tour, you will drive back to Hassan for the night, as there are no accommodation options in Belur or Halebidu.
Your morning will begin with a visit to the sacred 400-year-old Sri Nimishamba Temple, located 2km from Srirangapatna by the banks of River Cauvery. Temple Timings: 6 am to 8:30 pm. Next, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, which features a towering Rajagopuram. Temple Timings: 9 am to 12 pm; 1:15 pm to 6 pm; 6:45 pm to 9 pm (timings may change during festivals). You will then head to Mysore to visit the Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills, requiring a climb of 1,008 stairs, and offering a panoramic view of Mysore city. En route, you will visit Talakaveri, considered the birthplace of River Cauvery. Temple Timings: 6 am to 6 pm. After reaching Coorg, you will visit Abbey Falls, where water cascades from a height of 70 feet. Falls Timings: 9 am to 5 pm. Next, you will visit the Omkareshwara Temple in Madikeri, a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated amongst a fish-filled pond. Temple Timings: 6:30 am to 12:30 pm; 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm; 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm. You will then head to your hotel in Coorg for the night.
Early in the morning, you will be driven to Kukke Subramanya Temple, dedicated to the lord of serpents, Subramanya, situated in the Western Ghats amidst dense green forest by the River Kumaradhara. Temple Timings: 5 am to 9:30 pm. After Darshan, you will proceed to Dharmasthala to visit the massive 57 feet Gommateshwara statue, dedicated to Jain god Bahubali. Timings: Open at all hours. Entry Fees: free. Your next stop will be Kalasa, where you will visit the Kalaseshwara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and offering a magnificent view of the surrounding hills from its hilltop location. Temple Timings: 7:30 am to 1 pm; 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm. You will finally head to Hornadu and check into your hotel.
